CARA \ DAVIDE is a Milan-based multidisciplinary design studio, created in 2016 by Cara Judd and Davide Gramatica. With a cross-cultural background in Italy and South Africa, the duo’s works are characterized by an ongoing research in materials, techniques and processes related to different territories. Designs by CARA \ DAVIDE are represented by galleries across Europe and the United States.

On Their Design Philosophy CARA \ DAVIDE Our practice is driven by an interest in exploring materials alongside a need to establish a dialogue in the process. More than innovating, we perceive design as a medium of exchange; a means of bringing forth different perspectives on our surroundings.

On Scandinavian Design:

"It is difficult to give a single and fulfilling opinion or definition of Scandinavian design. To us, it's not simply a style but rather a movement; a cultural phenomenon that has been succeeded, challenged and evolved by many interpreters, often very different from one another yet all representing the different facets of the single body of work that is Scandinavian design."
