: Product Material
The tabletop is available in lacquered MDF with black nanolaminate top or lacquered MDF with a linoleum top. Nanolaminate tabletops are made using FSC™-certified (FSC-C028824) wood. The table base is made of powder-coated steel with a protective rubber ring under it. Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon. Powder-coated steel has a subtle, textured expression and elegant feel while adding durability to the design and making it more corrosion- and chip-resistant.; Powder Coated Steel

Nanolaminate
Nanolaminate is a fully dense, ultra-fine grained solid that exhibits a high concentration of interface defects. Nanolaminate is an innovative material with unique features as low light reflexivity, an extremely matt surface, anti-fingerprints and anti-bacterial features while the nanolaminate surface is resistant to scratches, dry heat and acid solvents.

Lacquered MDF
MDF stands for Medium-density fibreboard and is an engineered wood product. It is made from wood fibres that are formed into panels.

: Clean the tabletop with a damp cloth. If necessary, only use a mild detergent or washing-up liquid; never concentrate. Always wipe with a dry cloth afterward. Liquid, grease, etc., should be removed immediately to minimize the risk of stains and marks.

Linoleum care is recommended 2-3 times a year for optimum saturation of the natural material.

Clean the base with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching the high-gloss lacquer. If necessary, use a small amount of mild dish soap on the cloth.

*Muuto recommends that you contact your local hardware store for advice on oils for indoor use.

Words from The designer

Midst Table is a meeting between the poetic and functional. The name refers to the center and the table being a gravitational point, while its round shape cancels out hierarchy — there is no head of the table. Its shape naturally draws us in towards its middle, encouraging a meeting of minds and eyes. Our design process was one of subtraction and refinement. The Midst Table’s form and construction was inspired by an iconic architectural feature, the column, merging physical stability and steadfastness with a sense of elegance.
